When I first started out on this quest for freedom…freedom from the j-o-b, from the social standards implanted in our brains since our days of innocence, from the monotony…I sought to mlm as my golden key to unlock the chains of bondage. Excited as I was, I couldn’t understand why the people I shared my opportunity with didn’t see the same vision I was seeing. I couldn’t grasp how my friends thought of this industry as a scam and yet they’re living their lives ‘robotically’…wondering when their break would come.(These are the wrong people to share your opportunity with…scarp ‘em)

These same people who were ‘afraid’ of this industry were the same ones afraid If their position would be outsourced to someone overseas for the fraction of their salary. Remember…work shifts to where it can be done best – the most cost-effective, efficient way possible. Heard of redundancy? How’s your job?

Now on to mlm lead generation because you’re here and you’ve taken the ‘red pill’ or was it blue?(See-The Matrix 1999).

Before we go there let me just ask if you’ve implemented mailing lists in your mlm lead generation tactics? A mailing list can literally mean the difference between success and failure for your online mlm business. You’re probably a little freightened by the idea of asking your potential prospects for their e-mail address for fear of scaring them away.

It’s essential if you want to make ‘sales’ that the truly successful make. Anyway who cares, if you’ve spewed your mlm opportunity to everyone you met (See-3 foot rule) this would be zilch. Also, what makes you think they’d join your biz anyways if they’re hardup in giving their email? So remember. It’s a must to implement a mailing list in your mlm lead generation strategy. Go find a good mailing list service. It’ll prove invaluable.

Ok…so what is the basic principle that all mlm lead generation methods follow? I learned this from one of my many mentors (See-investment)

FIND A TARGETED GROUP + GET CLICKS = Highly Targeted Traffic.

I’ll be discussing one paid and one free online mlm lead generation method.

Paid mlm lead generating tactic: Ezine advertising.

“Ezinesare online newsletters that people subscribe to because they have an interest in the subject matter described in the newsletter.”

Doing your due dilligence, you can send out to a list of a few thousand people capturing new subscribers to your mailing list and yield a healthy return on investment in the process. So which eZines should you target? A most resounding answer would be to advertise in Ezines that target Home Business Entrepreneurs, Network Marketers, Biz Opp Seekers, etc. These are the people that are actively interested in making money online and in whatyou have to offer(remember…highly laser targeted traffic. Not your friend..unless you consider him to be a highly laser targeted traffic).

Depending on how big of a subscriber list the ezine newsletter has , you can send your message out to a few thousand to tens of thousands of subscribers already interested in the topic of MLM or business opportunities. By having targeted subscribers, there’s no need to sell them on MLM because they are already sold and they possess an entrepreneurial mindset. Think about it, would you rather recruit basketball players to play in Fifa World Cup or would you rather recruit soccer players? If your marketing/ad copy is more than up to par then who knows how many are already sold on your offer.

If you master this online mlm lead generation tactic alone you’re on your way writing your ticket to freedom…but there’s a catch. There’s so many ezines out there claiming they have thousands of subscribers and there’s an art to detecting which ones are legit and which are scams. More on that subject in a later post. Now on to the free tactic.

Free mlm lead generating tactic:
Article Marketing.
“Article directories are the internet’s free content hubs. Many webmasters pull content from these site for their own audience.”

These sites have multiple categories where you can post your content on. After finding your category simply submit your content. Article directories are amazing because other webmasters will find your article and post it to there site or use it in there online newsletter. This will expose your article to more webmasters and web publishers who will in turn use your content (See-Viral marketing). If you’ve done your due diligence and deliver an article to an audience that’s ravenous for your information the results can be life changing. A few links off the j-o-b chain will have been cut sending you on your merry way to freedomland.

So what topic should you write about? Well therein lies the key. You can’t just write any garbage and splatter it on the article sites. People aren’t dumb. They can detect when something is written for mere profits and without any value at all. So write something that gives readers value. It could be some new strategy that you learned, how-to articles, top 10 list etc. Make the article meaningful and full of juicy meat. Also, have your article read like an editorial where it’s not too sale-pitchy and not like a blog post where you can speak your mind.

So after you’ve written your article and posted it you must add a call to action on the resource box.  The resource box is the little blurb at the end of the article which talks about you and your expertise. Make sure there is a link in that ‘blurb’ that links them to a page where you can capture their information…i.e, their name and email(remember mailing lists: we talked about it earlier).

Doing article marketing correctly you can capture leads that are not only targeted but free as well. Did I forget to mention their long lasting appeal? You can write articles and a few months even years from now you can still be capturing leads from it. That’s powerful stuff.

My personal favorite is SEO which stands for search engine optimization. In a nutshell, it’s when someone types a query into the search box like Google’s and wham! Your site can be seen by the people searching for your stuff. It’s laser targeted to a tee.
