Network Marketing is an excellent way for people to make an extra income. This business concept has been around for decades, and it won’t be leaving any time soon. The reason for its popularity is simple… It Works! It does however, require lots of work and most importantly, dedication and persistence to get the job done. 1. Unlearn what you have learned. Change your mindset and invest in your education constantly. This is crucial! You must rid yourself of negative ideas. This can be done in a variety of ways. I recommend reading at least 30 minutes a day, but try to shoot for 1 hour. Business, self-help, and training materials (whether books-ebooks-audios-and videos) are a great way to start. .
2. Find a good, knowledgable and successful mentor. The mentor should have a ton of resources for you to succeed. If you chose wisely, they’re a vast source of knowledge and information. Mingle with top distributors in your group, or other groups, and ask how they made it. If using the internet to help build your mlm residual income, join a social media network like Facebook and start mingling with the people who have more knowledge than you. Mingle with people with the same thinking and mindset(entrepreneurial). Everyone should be more than happy to provide you with excellent tips and advice.
3. Care for your downline. An entire book can be written on this topic. Usually, it’s the little things that show you really care. Try to maintain regular contact, and always praise your distributor’s accomplishments. You can even offer incentives to help motivate your group. Most

4. Create a large customer base. This is another largely ignored, yet very important, piece of your network marketing business, especially online. Many try so hard to build a huge downline, that they forget how much profit they could also be making by selling let’s say…training material. If you have an online mlm business, you can promote courses that can be beneficial to your team members while also getting some up front money for it. You can set up a coaching program for a fee and have 1-on-1 coaching sessions with your clients. Do you know how Levi’s jeans come about? In the online mlm world, this is called a funded proposal system. This is important because most people will JUST NOT WANT to become part of your downline, no matter how great a product/company you may have. Try to make everyone your customer…leverage and optimization. Get paid through the whole sales process not just the back end. Once you earn their trust, they will come to you more, and perhaps even join your downline later. Always “leave the door open”, as people’s needs do change.
5. Focus on your customer’s needs and let’s just make this clear…it’s not their health or a vacation resort they want. Honestly speaking, nobody needs another super juice filled with 100x more vitamin c than an orange or the hippest exclusive resort. What people really wish for when joining an mlm opportunity is to try to ease through next month’s mortgage. Let’s be clear on this…people are trying to get out of the financial quicksand that they’re stuck in. So, give people more than they expect, and satisfy your customers complaints immediately. Give value and overdeliver. Try to listen 80% of the time, and talk only 20%. As stated above, your customers can be a huge source of future referrals and/or business. Learn to develop a relationship before hitting a homer…so to speak. In the online world, this is can be done through the helpful emails that you mail them. 6. Set goals: daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals – and Write Them Down! So, How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
